FAQs
Indeed, our acrylic paint markers work on nearly any surface and are incredibly adaptable. They stick to smooth surfaces like plastic, metal, and glass and look great on wood (used for crafts and rock painting) and canvas. They can even be used as decorative elements on leather or fabric (although we advise sealing the design or using a suitable fabric marker on fabric that will be washed). The opaque acrylic ink adheres well to both porous (wood, canvas) and non-porous (glass, ceramics) surfaces, especially after it has completely dried.
After the acrylic paint dries, the markings become permanent. When dry, acrylic paint is naturally long-lasting and water-resistant. As a result, your designs won't smudge or fade when wet. The paint is very long-lasting and soaks in a little when applied to porous materials (such as canvas, terra cotta, or wood). The paint will dry as a coating on slick surfaces (such as metal or glass); it will be permanent for everyday use, but it may come off if you scratch at it vigorously or put it through the dishwasher too often. Although it's not required, some people decide to apply a clear sealant over the artwork for outdoor use or to make it more permanent on non-porous materials. Generally speaking, once the marks are dry, they should remain
After drying, the acrylic paint is indeed waterproof. The design won't work if you draw on a mug or a plant pot and water gets on it from rain or hand washing. Additionally, the paint has a high degree of UV resistance, which means that sunlight doesn't cause it to fade too quickly. Because of this, our acrylic markers are excellent for projects that take place outside or for objects that are exposed to light, such as painting garden rocks or outdoor signs. As with all art materials, there may be some slight fading over an extended period of time and intense sun exposure, but in general, the colours stay vivid for a very long time.
Before using the marker, give it a good shake because you'll hear a rattling ball inside that mixes the paint. After that, prime the tip by repeatedly pressing it down on a scrap of paper until the paint starts to flow into it. To get the ink flowing, paint markers typically do this. No additional preparation is required. Simply uncap, shake, prime, and begin writing or drawing. Another quick shake helps keep the marker flowing consistently, especially when you're changing colours or haven't used it in a long time.
Yes, we have low-odor acrylic markers. Compared to solvent-based markers, the water-based acrylic paint has a much weaker odour. If you really sniff it, you might detect a faint smell, but otherwise, there is nothing overpowering or disagreeable. Because there are no harsh fumes, they are comfortable to use indoors for extended periods of time. They are almost odourless, which is similar to using acrylic paint straight from the tube.
We have a large selection of acrylic paint markers. They frequently come in packs of eight, twelve, or even twenty-four colours. Primary tones (black, white, red, blue, yellow, and green) are followed by secondary and tertiary hues (orange, purple, pink, light blue, lime, etc.). Additionally, some sets feature metallic hues like silver and gold. Every colour is vivid and opaque. You can even layer them because they're acrylic; after one colour dries, you can draw over it with another. Your projects can be very creative with this colour scheme.
The acrylic markers will appear on dark or black surfaces because they are opaque. The interior paint is highly pigmented. Drawing with a white or yellow acrylic marker, for instance, on a dark rock or a black poster board will produce a solid and noticeable colour (some light colours may require a second pass for full brightness, but they are meant to cover). Because of this, they work well on projects with dark paper, dark textiles, or any other coloured background because the colours will stand out and not be overshadowed.
