The markings are permanent once the acrylic paint dries. Acrylic paint, by nature, is water-resistant and durable when dry. This means your designs won’t smudge or wash off with water. On porous materials (like wood, terra cotta, or canvas), the paint soaks in a bit and is very long-lasting. On slick surfaces (like glass or metal), the paint will dry as a coating on top; it will be permanent for normal handling, but if you aggressively scratch at it or repeatedly run it through a dishwasher, it could wear off.
